A big part of being in business long term is to be able to see where you are going, the details of the services you offer or the products your developing. Without this direction, your momentum to show up and implement what needs to be done while still being truly excited, about your own company ten years on is going to be a great challenge for you. Yet alone then be able to go on and continuously deliver exceptional services and products in the marketplace for your customers for many years to come. Well, you could sell your business after 5+ years and let other entrepreneurs take the lead to develop your business further take your profits and move on to something else. Which is totally okay as some of us will have ideas that take us so far, yes others can add to our ideas and that can help take us a little further. Its okay to be honest with yourself and say 'I am out' I/we have done all I/we took the business so far, now it's time to hand the keys over to someone else. Enjoying our local family walks on a new level during lockdown... Sometimes we have visions for our businesses/lifestyle which others can not see where we are going or how we are even going to achieve these Dreams. I love the story of Walt Disney who was very much like this 'he had a MASSIVE vision' which no one could see or understand what he wanted to do. I share Walt's great story in my book 'Dream The Impossible Dreams.' So for today, I leave you with some top tips, to support you in starting to visualise, which can be used to improve your dreaming and obtaining your goals/visions. While we have all been living in a very different way the last few months, nature is still doing its thing 💖 How to encourage and engage your visualisation techniques: Start with something small and basic such as an apple. Look at the apple from different angles and points, and once you have a clear image, bring your focus closer towards the apple, looking at its skin.
Counting life's blessings... Focus on details.
This works to engage your creativity while exercising your visualisation skills. Spend time observing the details. That way, you will learn to stay focused on the visualisation exercise and not let irrelevant thoughts distract you. When you begin to have very few distractions at all during your times of visualisation, you have made great progress. If this is your first time working on these skills and you realise that you cannot focus for long, or hold the images you want, this is a sign that you just need more practise exercising these skills. Tips • Draw out what you see before trying to hold the image in your mind. • Play music to support your senses. • Find a place you feel most relaxed. • Explore ways to spark your creativity. The Power of Visualising There is a recurring theme around gaining excellent performance across many professions. Several top achievers know the importance of picturing themselves already playing the part, using their visualisation to accelerate the vision towards reality. Applying belief, creativity and imagination, they repetitively play the image over.
