On 29 March 2023, Green Bean Studios’ founder Anita Frost will be attending Investing in Creative Innovation – a Pitch Showcase event hosted by Creative UK. Taking place in London’s British Film Institute South Bank, the event will be an exciting opportunity to network with key investors and creative tech innovators.
The event forms part of the 2022-23 Creative Enterprise Evolve programme, a unique nine-month-long programme designed by investors that prepares high-potential screen businesses for growth capital.
Businesses attending and seeking investment represent the dynamic and diverse range of creative industry talents across the UK, with businesses including immersive tech, and visual effects, games, interactive entertainment, high-end TV, and content production. UKBAA, Creative England and the British Film Institute are excited to welcome investors to experience this curated showcase of creative innovators pitching for investment.

Investors will enjoy an evening of pitches from a selected group of innovative founders seeking investment to either start-up or scale-up their creative businesses. After each pitch, investors will also be able to ask the founders questions about their proposal.
The evening will be rounded off with the opportunity to network over drinks and nibbles, celebrating the high-growth potential of the creative sector.

IWD Fest 2023 – Celebrating Women in Business, Wellness and the Creative Industry
Green Bean Studios’ founder Anita Frost recently attended Cultureville’s International Women’s Day Festival in Manchester. The event featured leading women in business, politics, wellness, digital and the creative industry against the backdrop of the city at ABC Building's spectacular Roof, Deck and Dome venue.
Guests were able to listen to a range of speakers sharing insights on business, online growth, inclusivity and sisterhood. Speakers included Anita Frost, author and Founder of Green Bean Studios, Zara Street, Founder of Keep it Bright, Emma Tasmin Hill, influencer and founder of All Body UK and Dr Penny Trayner, Pediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist. Guests also had the opportunity to participate in discussions impacting the community and network with potential female partners and mentors.
Following panel discussions guests participated in a beautiful sip and paint session led by Sip and Paint MCR where they got to create paintings while having drinks and networking. Next was an unforgettable creative performance evening featuring music, poetry, and comedy hosted by author, Loll Perkins.
IWD Fest had a fantastic lineup of performers including Funmi Says, Yemi Bolatiwa of the Untold Orchestra and Maria Kayum who entertained guests throughout the evening. The night ended on a joyous note with music from the talented Dj FYA playing Afrobeats and Amanpiano

Guest Davina Campbell stated, "What a beautiful way to celebrate womanhood. The IWD Fest was excellent!" and speaker Eve Holt, Director of GM Moving stated "Such a beautiful, joyful event & space to meet, move, talk, eat, dance, create and connect."
Furthermore, the black owned business market hall was a huge success with caterer Milly B's Kitchen stating "No crumbs left" after she sold out of all her delicious desserts during the event and designer, Bittany stating, "Yesterday was just perfect in every sense! It felt great spending a whole day with other amazing women - celebrating, encouraging and having fun with one another. I got home at midnight feeling reinvigorated!". Nathan Wrigglesworth who represented IWD Fest sponsors, ABC Building wrapped it all up saying "A really successful event all in all".
Mentoring other women and inspiring them to follow their own entrepreneurial path for success is something Anita is passionate about. Anita was honoured to speak at Cultureville’s event amongst so many other talented women for the global celebration of International Women’s Day.

About the programme
The Women in Innovation (WiI) programme was launched in 2016 by Innovate UK with the overall aim to increase gender equality in business-led innovation.
The programme has continued to go from strength to strength, year by year, with ever greater numbers of women innovating in business. In the last 6 years we have had the honour of nurturing 118 pioneering women to embrace innovation, grow their businesses, and navigate the entrepreneurial ecosystem for positive economic, environmental, and societal change.

On Saturday 11th March, Anita Frost will be speaking at Cultureville’s inaugural International Women's Day Festival. The event will be celebrating women’s achievement and creating an uplifting and inspiring environment.
Anita will be sharing her expertise and insights speaking as a panellist on the topic of Navigating Entrepreneurship along with several other female entrepreneurs. The panel will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

The festival will take place on March 11th, 2023. The entire event runs from 12 Noon to 11pm, with Anita’s panel event running from 2pm to 2:45pm.
