Manchester based children’s brand, Green Bean Studios, has been named as Best Children's Entertainment Production Company 2022 at the SME UK Enterprise Awards. Now in its sixth year running, the annual SME awards recognise SMEs of all sizes that demonstrate excellence in business.
Green Bean Studios is an entertainment media company that empowers children globally to play, learn and develop whilst taking care of the environment through the areas of retail, music, TV, film and immersive events/attractions.
This fast-growing company has already won multiple awards for their books, toys and games, including: Best Eco-Friendly Children’s Toys & Books Retailer 2021 at the SME News UK Enterprise Awards; Best Children’s Books & Toys 2020 at the SME News Northern Enterprise Awards; and Children’s Toy Retailer of the Year 2021 at the Corporate LiveWire Global Awards.
SME News prides itself on the integrity and validity of its awards and winners. Businesses who win these awards are chosen solely on merit, being commended for their ingenuity and hard work, which sets them apart from their competitors and proves them worthy of recognition.
The last few years have brought many challenges for SMEs, requiring businesses to be highly adaptable and resilient to stay afloat. Holly from the SME team has said that, “Despite the obvious hardships the last two years have brought to the UK, we've seen SMEs work tirelessly to adapt and overcome a myriad of challenges, and we believe more than ever the incredible dedication by these enterprises should be recognised.”
On the award win, Holly Blackwood (née Morris) Awards Executive commented that: “It goes without saying that to see Green Bean Studios be successful for another year running is a fantastic achievement and a true marker of the hard work and commitment invested day to day.
New TV & Music Developments for Green Bean Studios
Green Bean Studios has built on the ongoing success of their retail lines by branching out with new children’s entertainment productions for TV and music. As an ever-growing brand, they are bursting with innovative ideas to produce family-friendly comedy entertainment to inspire more families globally.
Since the conception of this children's brand, Anita has always held the long-term vision of bringing little fans an animated TV series based on her adventure stories. This dream is now turning into reality as Green Bean Studios has a pre-school animated TV series in the early stages of development, aimed at children aged two to ten years old.
The planned series will be packed with fun adventures and hilarious moments as viewers follow Green Bean and five other lovable characters for exciting episodes based in the fictional world of Adventure Dales.
The team have enjoyed meeting with key TV and media industry professionals over 2022, forming positive long-term co-working relationships with animation studios, distributors and broadcasters to drive forward the series across the globe.
So why is this children's brand one to watch?
With the development of their animated TV series comes further opportunities for business growth. Green Bean Studios is already achieving retail sales throughout England, and is breaking into new markets in the USA, Scotland & Ireland with a £6.2 million pound retail entity valuation in 2022. There is huge potential for brand expansion following on from the TV series, with new eco retail lines, clothing/apparel merchandise, franchise opportunities, and visitor attractions planned for 2024 and beyond.
With over sixteen years of child development under their belt, and twenty plus years in media and creative industries, this UK-based brand is providing more than feel-good family entertainment. Their aim is to tackle childhood obesity and being a key player in recognising and responding to the global health crisis in children's mental health.
Green Bean Studios continues this mission of healthy happy you, healthy happy me, through interactive in-person and multimedia storytelling. Taking it one step further, they have now developed their first children’s music album, Time To Dance, which gets the whole family up and dancing, encouraging the enjoyment of movement and having fun whilst being active.
The team collaborated with some exceptional talents to create the album, from vocal artists in Green Bean’s home city of Manchester, to a-list celebrities who bring on board their vast industry knowledge and experience.
Earlier this year, Green Bean Studios hosted an unmissable exclusive premiere event in the iconic Media City in Salford. The VIP event welcomed over 110 in-person guests as well as guests watching live online globally. With TV and Music industry professionals, and A-list celebrities attending the event, it was an exciting experience showcasing the talents and vision of this multi-talented award-winning team.
Despite the challenges that the last 24 months have brought for businesses, these exciting new TV and Music developments from Green Bean Studios shows the resilience and commitment of the whole team, for bringing their shared visions to life with high-quality family entertainment that parents and children alike love.
