The Green Bean Collection is a range of fun and educational books for children, including board books and early readers, which are complete and independently published. The stories centre on leading character Green Bean – a friendly, anthropomorphic, genderless Green Bean who lives in the fictional world of Adventure Dales. These exciting tales follow the journeys of Green Bean and five other lovable characters, each with unique personalities that engage young readers. Our stories encourage children to learn through play, inspiring a love of outdoor adventures, nurturing the environment, and teaching the importance of friendship and community. Education is at the heart of what we do and we have specially designed our books to help children develop key skills in communication, literacy, numeracy, understanding the world around them, and stimulating creativity and imagination. As well as the educational elements, there is a real sense of joy and fun captured throughout our stories and illustrations. We have a vibrant community of dedicated fans on our social media pages and YouTube channel, and our digital presence enhances the storytelling for children and families globally. Our books have been sold in Waterstones, with a complete sell-out of stock within the first 2 weeks of launching. Our books are also sold in 17 independent bookstores across the country, including Ireland and Scotland, and we are gaining traction in new markets across Europe and the USA.
The Green Bean Collection’s creator, Anita Frost, is an author and entrepreneur with extensive experience in child development and business. As well as over 12 years of experience developing teams, including front line workers, leaders and influencers, she has in-depth child development training with children from infancy to 12 years old. In just a few years since launching, Anita has successfully developed the Green Bean brand with a series of collectable books, toys, games, a YouTube channel and live interactive storytime events which all help promote the business. Each of these developments has been supported using creative writing techniques and key messaging, to promote reading, play, and edutainment media with a strong focus on looking after the world around us.
