Green Bean Gives Back to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital This Christmas
 
At Green Bean Studios we are passionate about giving back to local communities and helping those who are in need. Though Christmas this year will be a much different affair compared to being in the thick of the pandemic last year, some restrictions still remain, which is changing the way we are giving back this festive period.
 
For many years we have partnered with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, providing books, gifts, learning resources and attending in-person storytime sessions for sick children who are staying at the hospital. Last year due to Covid restrictions, we were unable to operate as usual with these activities, and instead got involved in the hospital’s virtual Christmas celebrations for children.
 
With restrictions on in-person visits still in place at the hospital, we will once again be getting involved in their virtual Christmas celebrations to help children staying there experience the joy and magic of Christmas and provide entertainment over the festive period. We will be encouraging children to keep reading and learning with Green Bean this Christmas by providing reading goodies from the Green Bean Collection.
 
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital cares for over 330,000 children, young people and their families every year. It is one of Europe’s biggest and busiest children’s hospitals, treating everything from common illnesses to highly complex and specialist conditions.
 
The work they do is incredible, not just in taking care of sick children, but nurturing every child as an individual and helping them to feel happy and safe as they develop, learn and play. Their exemplary care doesn’t just stop at their patients though - they take an active approach to look after children’s families and involve them too.
