When starting a new venture or lifestyle, not everyone will be tuned into the same radio station as you, it is important to find the thought channel to suit your new venture or lifestyle and the direction in which you want it to go. It is obvious that everyone's overall aim is for their future to go in a positive, constructive direction. Allowing their thoughts to be tuned in to a negative channel can result in your momentum becoming hindered. Tune into a positive thought channel that reflects what you want for the future of you your family and personal aspirations. Which Channel Are You Tuned Into The Most? Positive FM or Negative FM? At some point, we tune into both of these channels during our lifetime. The channel people tune into most frequently over their lifetime is a big contributing factor to their mindset, which can, in turn, influence their actions and the outcomes of these actions. When you hear your favourite song, your natural instinct is probably to turn it up and begin to dance like nobody’s watching. You enjoy the song, feeling the words and the rhythm. Maybe you even rewind the song back and play it again. Why? Because it feels good to you. How many of us fill our days with the things that feel good to us? Probably not as much as we would like, as increasing responsibilities cause us to see enjoyment as a lower priority, so we slowly start to shut ourselves off from things that make us feel good. Actively seeking positive feelings can work towards higher success rates, as these feelings are not dependent on the opinions of others, or on what has gone right or wrong on any given day? Yet so many people get stuck on Negative FM. This channel is limiting, as it shuts us off from opportunities to improve our quality of living, and keeps us trapped in bad habits so that we don’t see change as an option. The polar opposite of Positive FM, this way of thinking is not compatible with possibility and forward momentum. Frequency projects a signal, and a signal attracts connections. The channel you are tuned into can, to an extent, determine your surroundings and the kinds of people you connect with. Reflection Exercise Two:
What and who do you want to attract: 1. Into your new venture or lifestyle 2. Why? 3. Into your family? 4. Why? 5. Into your friendships? 6. Why? “A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results” - Wade Boggs To read more on Tuning In, pick up your copy of 'Dream The Impossible Dreams' by Author Anita Frost
