What's your plans for this weekend, why not pop over to Manchester Children’s Book Festival Fun Day
Saturday 24th June . This year's Family Fun Day will be bigger and better than ever with tons of free stuff to do, look out for Anita Frost’s support team, showcasing ‘Our Beans Eat Green’ a vegan friendly cook book. #family #daysout #Manchester #fun #adventures
Join Nick Butterworth, award-winning children’s author and creator of hit CBeebies series Q Pootle 5, for an amazing interactive show about the magic of storytelling and imagination.
Look out for Peppa Pig and Q Pootle 5, who will be making special appearance at intervals throughout the day – Don’t forget to take your camera!

Guy Bass’ high-octant performance will explore his childhood aspirations and inspirations and will includes animated readings from his books. Join him for an interactive (and active!) combination of stand-up, reading, pictures and props.

There will also be other authors and illustrators, arts and crafts, workshops, a multi-sensory storytelling room, illustration exhibition, green screen, face painting, dressing up and much more. Get musical with Masha and The Bear, or dramatic with the Royal Exchange Theatre. Make designer footballs with the National Football Museum, or try out the Green Screen with Archives+.

Everything is interactive and there is something for all ages and interests provided courtesy of Manchester’s Family venues.
