Join Green Bean and Friends for an Interactive Summertime Storytime Session at The Trafford CentreRounding off Green Bean’s summer of touring, we’re excited to be hosting several interactive summertime storytime sessions at the iconic Trafford Centre in Greater Manchester. The storytime sessions will be held over two days on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd September 2021. The Trafford Centre is the third largest shopping centre in the UK, and draws in crowds of over 35million people every year (on an average, pre-pandemic year). With retail outlets now open again for business, the centre is enjoying welcoming eager shoppers and visitors to Manchester through its doors once more. The storytime sessions will be held outside the Great Hall, an impressive glazed structure with a grand sweeping staircase which features a stunning marble balustrade from China, and boasts what the centre claims to be the largest chandelier in the world. The chandelier is a colossal focal point, measuring 36 feet in width, 49 feet in height, and weighing a whopping five tonnes! What to expect at the interactive summertime storytime sessions Author Anita Frost will be telling stories from her much loved children’s books from the Green Bean Collection. Green Bean is a firm household favourite amongst children and parents alike, and the events are ideally suited to children aged one to six years old. Children will be excited to explore, learn and have fun with their favourite characters from the Green Bean stories. They will also have the opportunity to get their books signed on the day by the author and will be gifted with a take-home fun pack. We’re all about giving back to local communities, which is why these storytime sessions are completely FREE! There will be places allocated for each session on the day, on a first-come, first-served basis. Time slots will be 1:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd September 2021. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the centre, please visit Green Bean & Friends outside the Great Hall within the Summer Social area. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For full details please visit: We hope to see many familiar faces and plenty of new ones there too!
