The Road Less Travelled This is your time to step out onto the road less travelled. An entrepreneur’s journey has no final destination - each experience they encounter can change their course of direction at any time, opening new doors to lead them into new places. The change of direction inspires them to seek and discover more than they set out to find. Entrepreneurs never aim to complete their ideas, but find ways to expand them through innovation and risk-taking as much as they can. "Almost everything worthwhile carries with it some sort of risk, whether it’s starting a new business, whether it’s leaving home, whether it’s getting married, or whether it’s flying in space." - Chris Hadfield The time for adventure is now! As excitement fuels you, will you travel with your hands gripped to the stirring wheel, nose nearly touching the window, or will you let the roof down to feel the wind on your face and maybe drop into cruise control to go with the flow? Entrepreneurs often have both hands gripped tight when bends and turns approach them at speed, but letting the roof down and enjoying the wind in their hair after each challenge passes them. Long journeys are not always the comfiest, and we are often advised to take lots of short breaks in between in order to break up the journey, allow ourselves to stay refreshed, and prevent our bodies seizing up. As an entrepreneur, you will experience times of discomfort, so schedule regular breaks to refuel and refresh your thinking before the next move is to be made. Successful business people see and understand the benefits of taking part in regular exercise to de-stress and maximise peak performance. Understanding and knowing how to get the best out of themselves, they must consistently serve their bodies well in order to be in the best condition to continue their journey. "Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things when they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step"- Lao Tzu Maybe you have:

When starting a new venture or lifestyle, not everyone will be tuned into the same radio station as you, it is important to find the thought channel to suit your new venture or lifestyle and the direction in which you want it to go. It is obvious that everyone's overall aim is for their future to go in a positive, constructive direction. Allowing their thoughts to be tuned in to a negative channel can result in your momentum becoming hindered. Tune into a positive thought channel that reflects what you want for the future of you your family and personal aspirations. Which Channel Are You Tuned Into The Most? Positive FM or Negative FM? At some point, we tune into both of these channels during our lifetime. The channel people tune into most frequently over their lifetime is a big contributing factor to their mindset, which can, in turn, influence their actions and the outcomes of these actions. When you hear your favourite song, your natural instinct is probably to turn it up and begin to dance like nobody’s watching. You enjoy the song, feeling the words and the rhythm. Maybe you even rewind the song back and play it again. Why? Because it feels good to you. How many of us fill our days with the things that feel good to us? Probably not as much as we would like, as increasing responsibilities cause us to see enjoyment as a lower priority, so we slowly start to shut ourselves off from things that make us feel good. Actively seeking positive feelings can work towards higher success rates, as these feelings are not dependent on the opinions of others, or on what has gone right or wrong on any given day? Yet so many people get stuck on Negative FM. This channel is limiting, as it shuts us off from opportunities to improve our quality of living, and keeps us trapped in bad habits so that we don’t see change as an option. The polar opposite of Positive FM, this way of thinking is not compatible with possibility and forward momentum. Frequency projects a signal, and a signal attracts connections. The channel you are tuned into can, to an extent, determine your surroundings and the kinds of people you connect with. Reflection Exercise Two:
What and who do you want to attract: 1. Into your new venture or lifestyle 2. Why? 3. Into your family? 4. Why? 5. Into your friendships? 6. Why? “A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results” - Wade Boggs To read more on Tuning In, pick up your copy of 'Dream The Impossible Dreams' by Author Anita Frost A big part of being in business long term is to be able to see where you are going, the details of the services you offer or the products your developing. Without this direction, your momentum to show up and implement what needs to be done while still being truly excited, about your own company ten years on is going to be a great challenge for you. Yet alone then be able to go on and continuously deliver exceptional services and products in the marketplace for your customers for many years to come. Well, you could sell your business after 5+ years and let other entrepreneurs take the lead to develop your business further take your profits and move on to something else. Which is totally okay as some of us will have ideas that take us so far, yes others can add to our ideas and that can help take us a little further. Its okay to be honest with yourself and say 'I am out' I/we have done all I/we took the business so far, now it's time to hand the keys over to someone else. Sometimes we have visions for our businesses/lifestyle which others can not see where we are going or how we are even going to achieve these Dreams. I love the story of Walt Disney who was very much like this 'he had a MASSIVE vision' which no one could see or understand what he wanted to do. I share Walt's great story in my book 'Dream The Impossible Dreams.' So for today, I leave you with some top tips, to support you in starting to visualise, which can be used to improve your dreaming and obtaining your goals/visions. How to encourage and engage your visualisation techniques:
Focus On Details This works to engage your creativity while exercising your visualisation skills. Spend time observing the details. That way, you will learn to stay focused on the visualisation exercise and not let irrelevant thoughts distract you. When you begin to have very few distractions at all during your times of visualisation, you have made great progress. If this is your first time working on these skills and you realise that you cannot focus for long, or hold the images you want, this is a sign that you just need more practise exercising these skills. Tips • Draw out what you see before trying to hold the image in your mind. • Play music to support your senses. • Find a place you feel most relaxed. • Explore ways to spark your creativity. The Power of Visualising There is a recurring theme around gaining excellent performance across many professions. Several top achievers know the importance of picturing themselves already playing the part, using their visualisation to accelerate the vision towards reality. Applying belief, creativity and imagination, they repetitively play the image over. "You have got to be hungry for ideas, to make things happen, for your vision made into a reality"
