Building a business from the ground up is no small task. Green Bean Studios founder Anita Frost recently spoke as a guest on The Elegance of Souls (TEOS) podcast, sharing her background and insights into leadership and wellbeing as a Black female entrepreneur. Founded by Ekanem Kofi Ikpeme, TEOS aims to engage and transform minds creatively one conversation, one story, one journey at a time. As a podcaster Ekanem seeks to give encouragement, insight and empowerment from her own challenges and through community and faith. The podcast is part of a new series called Pacesetters, which explores how business leaders can set the right pace for sustainable leadership, to flourish not just in their professional lives but in their personal lives and overall wellbeing. The show invites guests to delve into questions such as ‘who are we becoming in achieving our goals?’, and ‘how have we grown as we learn about pace?’ to gain perspectives on how self-care and stress management can lead entrepreneurs to a true and healthy version of themselves. On the show, Anita discussed some of the challenges she faces in the business world as a Black female founder. Despite this adversity, she talks about how Green Bean Studios has innovated and adapted to grow to a thriving children’s IP entertainment brand valued at £140 million. Anita also spoke about how Green Bean Studios is tackling key societal issues affecting our children including overuse of technology, mental health issues, and childhood obesity.
