On Saturday 4 March, Anita Frost will be speaking at the launch event for Beauty for Ashes Refuges, a charity dedicated to helping migrant women fleeing from domestic abuse to find refuge provision. Beauty for Ashes Refuges envision a world free from domestic abuse. But until then, they want to ensure that all women fleeing domestic abuse, regardless of their immigration status are able to access refuge provision. Their mission is to transform the lives of the most marginalised people by providing temporary accommodation in the form of refuge provision for migrant women with insecure immigration status and children with no recourse to public funds who are fleeing domestic abuse. Anita Frost is passionate about inspiring and empowering women to reach their potential through mentorship. Having been invited to speak at this charity’s launch event by founder Becky Barlow and trustee Careen Joseph, Anita was honoured to have the opportunity to connect with marginalised women and share her background to inspire others. Enabling children to thrive mentally and physically is at the heart of Green Bean Studios. From our ongoing work with local communities, we understand firsthand that it is often the most marginalised children in society who suffer the most, with their social, emotional, physical and behavioural development being impacted due to their socio-economic status. We fully support the valuable work this charity will be doing by helping those marginalised children who suffer as a result of domestic abuse and a lack of refuge provision due to immigration issues. Through providing this vital care, more migrant children from families fleeing domestic abuse will be able to learn and play in a safe environment and enjoy the carefree childhood that all children deserve. The launch event takes place on Saturday 4 March at 3pm at Ekhaya Empowerment C.I.C, 81 Mesnes St, Wigan WN1 1QX, UK. Find out more and how you can support this charity:
