The last year has been a whirlwind adventure for our team, with many exciting changes here at Green Bean Studios. We have taken our multi-award-winning children’s brand from books, toys and games into a space of new children’s entertainment productions. With our first ever children’s music album demo launching earlier this year, and an animated children’s TV series based on the brand’s leading character Green Bean in development, we now have even more ways to inspire children across the globe to play, learn and get active. We loved meeting with lots of new fans and many familiar faces at our live roadshow events as we took Green Bean & Friends on tour across the UK in key retail spaces. Building on our award success in 2021, this year we have been honoured to win the 2022 SME UK Enterprise Award for Best Children’s Entertainment Production Company. As we propel our business forward into the world of TV and Music, this award highlights our energy and commitment in this new arena. Our brand has gained exposure on a wide range of platforms over the last year which has helped us connect with new individuals and organisations to collaborate with. Having forged new partnerships with key decision makers across TV and Media, we are in ongoing discussions with animation and media production companies, global broadcasters and investors to further our TV and Music journey. In addition to this, Green Bean Studios Founder and Executive Producer Anita Frost has been busy sharing her business expertise with female entrepreneurs in the FreelanceHER100 mentorship programme. During the programme, she helped selected individuals acquire new skills to develop their business, whilst inspiring them to reach their full potential. Green Bean Studios has also been involved in a mentorship programme from Google’s Digital Team, gaining knowledge to help support business growth online and build a global audience. This year we have gained some talented new team members to support our ongoing business growth and activities. We are proud to have successfully retained team members in full time and part time roles, creating 20+ paid freelance roles over the last two years including Creatives, Business Support, Sales, and Events. We have a proven track record for creating work opportunities for local communities and upskilling young people to prepare them for the world of work. This year, we have been supported by three individuals on work experience, three university students, three college students, and two secondary school students located near Green Bean Studios headquarters in Manchester. We continue to grow our range of eco toys and games. Our brand new ECO Kite launched this year, made from 100% sustainable and biodegradable materials, from the product itself to the cornstarch packaging. This new toy has been a huge hit with our new and existing fans, who are eager to add more items to their Green Bean collection. We’ve seen huge success with return customers bringing pre-bought items along to our live roadshow events and going on to buy even more items from our pop-up shops. In addition to in-person repeat purchases, we’re encouraged to see this across our digital sales too. As our digital presence continues to grow and we form key partnerships, we are breaking into new markets across the globe. There are many more exciting Eco products and new stories in development which we can’t wait to share with fans! This year we’ve seen our long-held dreams turning into reality as our animated TV series, Green Bean & Friends, is currently in development. Once we have confirmed outcomes from a production studio we are in conversations with, we will be given the green light for a 26 episode series aimed at children aged 2–10 years old. We continue to grow subscriptions for our existing live-action YouTube channel where viewers can enjoy Green Bean stories and a taste of what’s in store when our animated series goes live. This year, we launched our children’s music album demo, at an exclusive guest list only event. A-list celebrities, music and TV professionals, and Green Bean fans were welcomed to a private screening where they experienced some of the album tracks before anyone else.
At the private screening, we gave fans a teaser of the first single from our album, which is entitled 'Time To Dance', with a 1min 30-second clip. We are pleased to announce our first single will go on sale in summer of 2023, with pre-ordering available from Spring 2023. This music album has been developed to help continue one of our core missions – to tackle childhood obesity and children’s mental health issues. Our music is upbeat and energetic, full of joyful tunes that make children and families want to get up and dance. This children’s brand is always on the lookout for new creative collaborations with businesses and individuals who share our vision and values.
