BBC Radio Merseyside's Upfront | Supporting Local CommunitiesTune in this Friday, May 29th, as multi-award-winning entrepreneur, children's author, and founder of Green Bean Studios, Anita Frost, joins host and producer Ngunan Adamu on BBC Radio Merseyside's Friday night show. Anita Frost, a regular guest speaker across BBC radio programmes including Wake Up to Money (BBC Radio 4) and BBC Radio 5 Live, will discuss her inspirational journey as a mixed-ethnicity female founder of colour whose DNA spans 18 different regions. She will share insights into the continued global challenges that hinder female founders' advancement and growth, while highlighting the phenomenal wins Green Bean Studios and its team, under her leadership, have achieved. Her work is focused on building a children's brand that encourages play, learning, and fun adventures. About the Programme and Host, Ngunan Adamu BBC Radio Merseyside's Upfront is the black magazine programme for Merseyside, airing every Monday evening (1900-2100), hosted by Ngunan Adamu. The show covers a wide range of content, featuring vintage soul music, the latest R&B, soul/rap new releases, interviews with famous black artists from around the world, and reggae music. It also includes sessions with local artists and guests sharing the latest gossip from the black music scene. Ngunan Adamu is a passionate advocate for women's rights and underserved communities, driven by a desire to support vulnerable people—a trait she attributes to a "long line of feminists" in her family. After initially establishing an academy to teach women journalism and podcasting, she was offered her own show on BBC Radio Merseyside. Following her gut instinct proved successful, as she was later invited to train BBC staff internationally through her media academy and has recently been involved in hosting the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine, presenting the official podcast and on stage. She advises that success requires "hard graft" and perseverance. About Guest Speaker, Anita Frost
