Through play, children can practice leadership, explore, learn from their errors, and develop self-correction abilities. When adults consistently manage all aspects of a child's day, children miss out on chances to independently practice making sound decisions. This early exposure to decision-making in a safe and fun environment helps them build essential skills for navigating more complex situations later in life. Giving children the autonomy to direct their play and determine its outcome is crucial for fostering their self-assurance, creativity, and innovative thinking. Children in control of their play are more likely to be engaged and motivated, leading to deeper exploration and learning. This freedom allows their imaginations to flourish and encourages them to think outside the box, nurturing their innate creativity.
