We were invited by GMCA to the launch of their four-week 'Drawn to You: Celebrating the Early Education Workforce' campaign spotlighting the amazing early education workforce, as seen through the eyes of the young children they support, telling the story of what they love about their teachers and key workers and the difference they make. The exhibition also showcases the stories of the 11 practitioners who feature in the GM workforce campaign. Thank you to the children from Buttercup Corner who came to listen to a Green Bean Story Time with entrepreneur and award-winning author, Anita Frost Green Bean Studios has partnered with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) in the launch of a new exhibition. Titled 'Drawn to You,' this exhibition champions the individuals who provide crucial support to the youngest members of our communities. It comes at a time when expanded childcare support is expected to increase demand for the early education workforce. The exhibition, running from Thursday, July 3rd to Thursday, July 24th at Manchester Art Gallery, showcases the stories and voices of apprentices, childminders, nursery managers, and other early education practitioners through artwork and testimonies from children under five and their families across Greater Manchester. This exhibition coincides with growing national attention on the early education and childcare sector. Landmark Strategy for Early Years and Family Services A significant new strategy, "The Best Start in Life," aims to rebuild early childhood support services across England, benefiting hundreds of thousands of families. This initiative seeks to provide every child with the opportunity to succeed and offer every parent access to advice and support. The strategy represents a fundamental shift in how the government will enhance the quality of early education, ensure the availability of places in every community, and restore essential family services for the next generation. The government has committed £1.5 billion to fund these reforms. Anita Frost Founder of Green Bean Studios comments on recent announcement:
We are thrilled to see the growing recognition among national leaders that significant change is needed in the realm of children's play, learning, and outdoor engagement. It is encouraging to witness plans being set in motion for collective implementation by charities, workplace leaders, businesses, and political influencers. Anita Frost highlights that while sector professionals have observed a sharp decline in children's outdoor activities and learning experiences since before the pandemic, the crucial element remains how we effectively make a positive impact. Despite an annual allocation of £17 billion in taxpayer money to this area, we are currently experiencing a decline. With over 20 years of experience in both child development and business, Anita Frost is a multi-award-winning industry leader. She is recognised for her innovative eco-toys, engaging sound media content, and fun learning books, all designed to improve children's school readiness. We are eager to explore how we can further contribute to making a positive impact in this vital area. We encourage professional decision-makers to reach out to us as these discussions continue.
